An opal glass globe, blown in Portugal, sitting in a shallow metal dish that also hides the fitting. Opal glass diffuses evenly so there is no visible hot spot from the bulb, and the light is warm without being yellow.
Choose the fitting when you order: E14 gives a smaller bulb and a slightly dimmer, more even glow; E27 takes a standard bulb and is brighter. A 4 W LED in the right fitting is supplied with each lamp, and the cable has an inline switch.
