Dipped by hand in beeswax from a Jutland apiary, twenty dips to reach a standard 2.2 cm base. Beeswax burns slower and cleaner than paraffin and smells faintly of honey. The natural colour varies from pale straw to deep gold depending on what the bees were foraging on.
Tapers drip in a draught. In still air a beeswax taper barely drips at all; near an open window it will run. Position them accordingly.
